I've been working lately to really get proper exposure, and also trying "exposing to the right" when shooting at high ISO to decrease the grain. I think it's working better for me, although sometimes I have to bring the highlights down just a tad. The only time it hasn't worked well is when there is a lot of strong contrast in lighting, then I tend to blow the highlights too far or get some very off skin and w/b. So, I am going to try to start shooting RAW consistently hoping that will help.
Also, I've been taking lots of photos of the boys just practicing trying to nail down getting tack sharp focus. I have a much easier time judging focus when I view eyes 1:1.
