This is very beautiful!! It looks like we think alike:) My plan for today's photo was the same, except my pumpkin would be hokkaido:) I'll see what will be at the end of the day:) I like how you scattered some seeds around...what was your light source?
Thanks, Moyca. What is hokkaido? This was window light. I set this up in our bay window. It was getting pretty late in the afternoon when I shot these and it was a very cloudy day so the light wasn't as direct as we usually get there in the afternoon.
This is super! I love the way you angled that first shot, especially, I like the diagonal it creates, and I love the pop of color against the dark background. (Oh and good to know I'm not the only mom who has been up at 3AM looking for a missing animal...we may need to employ your 2 animals in the bed rule, LOL!!!)
Melissa, I actually used 2 cookie sheets for the background. One was underneath and one behind. These were purposely a little underexposed to make the orange standout more and that made the cookie sheets look more black than gray.

DeleteHokkaido is also an orange pumpkin...it's very tasty and you don't have to peel it...

ReplyDeleteI love the black background. How did you achieve this? It makes the orange standout so much.

DeleteWonderful food shot! My favorite is the first one!! The colors are so warm...and how creative of you to use cookie sheets for backdrops!!
